COVID-19 Update

rosettastudio

At ATP Canada/Rosetta Studio the health and safety of our employees, clients and our community is our top priority.  In response to the COVID-19 pandemic ATP Canada has instituted several safety measures.

Some of our staff have always worked exclusively from home and the remainder have always worked at least one day a week from home.  At the end of February, we shifted more of our staff to working from home in response to the emerging crisis.  On March 13th, all remaining employees began working from home to halt traffic through offices.  All employees were encouraged to practice self-isolation and social distancing.  All business-related travel has been suspended and face to face meetings will now be done via online webinars or phone calls.

What does this mean for our clients?

On the bureau side of our business (tables, coding, charting) you should not notice a difference in production capacity, turn-around times or quality levels.  Our teams have always mixed in-office and home office work.  We have increased the frequency of internal video conference meetings to ensure that production runs smoothly.  For assistance with an ongoing project please continue to email the ATP Canada employee assigned to the project.  For new projects or for emergency assistance please email Dave Homer (dave@atpcan.com), or Joe Terresano (jtorresano@atpcan.com).  If the enquiry is specific to charting please add Carolyn Clegg-Brown (carolyn@atpcan.com) to the email.

Our Rosetta Studio™ Support Team can continue to be reached at support@rosetta-intl.com.  Should you have any questions or support needs please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.

Our Support and Production teams are equipped with the tools and digital infrastructure to facilitate remote work, and at this time, we do not anticipate this disruption to have an impact on our day to day business operations and services.

The information around COVID-19 changes daily.  We continue to monitor the situation and adapt as necessary.

SOFTWARE RELEASE

Rosetta Studio v5.6 Release

The Rosetta Studio™ 5.6 release is a real milestone for our team. For the last couple of years, we’ve been bringing you innovative developments using Smart Tasks to reduce the amount of conditional tagging needed in Shells. The goal of Smart Tasks is to make tagging easier and faster. Smart Tasks allow users to perform actions on ranges or data, such as automatically format values or text, delete rows or columns where any/all values are below a certain percentage, remove columns when products aren’t shown in a particular report, sort tables or charts and much much more.

Our latest release continues to revolutionize the way you automate using Rosetta Studio™!

Complex conditional tags have long been used when testing for significance. With version 5.6 of Rosetta Studio™ it is now possible to show significance in your final output with only the use of range tags in the Shell.

Our Sig Indicator Wizard evaluates data imported into Rosetta Studio™ and converts significance letters to custom indicators such as ‘UP’ or ‘DN’. This action was previously done using conditional tags. Now these tests are done directly on the data so condition tags are not needed in these situations. Significant indicators are then moved up beside the data which allows simple range tags to be used to extract data into tables and charts.

A companion to the Sig Indicator Wizard is a Smart Task call DATALABEL. This new Smart Tasks allows users to customize data labels with values, sigs or custom text/symbols without the need for conditional tags. Special keywords will extract elements of a cell in a Chart Data Sheet and place them inside data labels. This is extremely beneficial for clients as it will reduce the complexity and time needed when tagging new reports. With these new tools working together Rosetta Studio™ will make report automation faster and much easier than ever before!

CLEANUP removes any text or significance indicators found to the right of values in Chart Data Sheets or Tables. This task gets called automatically after the DATALABEL task has run to ensure any text/sigs beside values in Chart Data Sheets are removed.

The RANK Task will assign a rank value to the range based on where the value places within an array. The rank values will be placed in a column or row of the users choosing via the Smart Task.

Secondary Sort options have been added for the RANK and SORT Smart Tasks. Secondary Sort allows users to apply their preferred method for sorting ties after the initial sort.

Similar to the way text tagging offsets work in the Populate Tagging System; Value Offsets can be used anywhere the ‘value’ or ‘val’ keyword is used in a Smart Task. Value Offsets allow a value reference to be offset to a neighboring row or column.

Some small additions to the Rosetta Studio™ Toolbar have been added as well. A ‘quick access’ button that opens and closes the Selection Pain for naming objects for Smart Tasks has been fixed to the Ribbon. A new batch tool for converting Excel® files to CSV has also been added.

Just in time for the Holidays Rosetta Studio™ is bringing our clients the greatest gift of all… the ability to save time and do more with Rosetta Studio™. SOFTWARE UPDATE

Rosetta Studio v5.5 Release

At Rosetta Studio™ we are always looking for new ways to save our users time and effort when automating their reports.  A recent focus has been cutting down the use of conditional tags in shells.  One area of concentration has been expanding the functionality of Smart Tasks to replace long conditional tags.  In addition to performing SORT, DELETE or PIN actions Smart Tasks have expanded support REPLACE and FORMAT functions.

REPLACE will search through a defined range of data and based on a condition will replace the contents of any cell where the condition was found to be true.  This can be a straight replacement, or the original contents of the cell can be returned in addition to any concatenated text or values.  This is great for replacing dashes with zeros or concatenating an asterisk to a base value when testing for low bases.

FORMAT will search through a defined range of data and based on a condition will format any cell where the condition is true.  Multiple format options are available including fontcolor, fontstyle, backgroundcolor, bordercolor and even chart bar colors.

The Arrow Replacement Tool in the Rosetta Studio™ Toolbar has also been improved.  Previous releases have only allowed for two replacements, UP and DN.  This handled most situations, however, if more that two replacements were needed the tool would have to be run multiple times.  With the new version an unlimited number of replacements can be performed with a single action.  Replace lists can be saved for different projects and reused at any time.  Options have also been expanded to include more sizing options, drop-shadows and enhanced location options.

An option that has been included in the Rosetta Studio™ Toolbar has been added to Post Process OptionsThe Delete Slide / Object tool can now be executed Post Populate directly from Rosetta Studio™.  This feature removes slides or objects from reports that are not needed in the final output.  Brand slides that may be included in the shell but not needed in a specific country run can be removed using this option.

Populate has also been updated to allow for Multiple Level Banner Searches.  Prior to this release only the lowest level or banner <B1> could be referenced via text tags.  Additional syntax has been added to support references to any banner level in this build.

SOFTWARE UPDATE

Rosetta Studio v5.4 Release

Rosetta Studio™ has taken another cue from its popular Smart Tasks and extended similar features to its data functions in the Data Pool.  Introducing Data Tasks.  As the name implies Data Tasks allow users to perform a series of edits to data imported into Rosetta Studio™.  Actions can be performed on Data Pools within an existing MRX file or automatically performed on import.

Smart Tasks has also been expanded taking an already powerful set of tools the next level by delivering a more flexible and dynamic tool.  SORT, DELETE and PIN actions have been combined with conditions which allows tasks to be executed with more control and precision.  Conditions (such as equal to, greater than or less than) evaluate the data in a range based on user defined parameters.  There are also new delete tasknames that are used in conjunction with Conditions.

Smart Tasks within the Toolbar has also been updated to mimic the behaviour of running Smart Tasks in Rosetta Studio.  Matching the behaviour between these two execution methods will ensure consistent results regardless of which method is chosen.

Populate features have also been added which allow Data Pool references to be searched for by text in tags.  With this addition any element of a tag is now supported via text search.  This advancement was a direct result of client feedback making using variable naming in the Script Builder more flexible.  Data Pools no longer must be imported in a specific order when using tagging by text.

Tags can also now be populated in the Selection Pane in PowerPoint®.  This allows tags or variables to be used within Smart Tasks names to allow for dynamic Smart Task naming.  PIN a different brand to the top of SORT functions, DELETE a changing list of products based on what country a report is being run for.  The possibilities are endless.

SOFTWARE UPDATE

Rosetta Studio v5.3 Release

Rosetta Studio has made updates to every piece of software in our suite of products. In addition to all the great new features and improvements included in the latest release of the Rosetta Studio suite of products we have also upgraded to a new licensing system. This licensing system will provide greater control and flexibility to Rosetta Studio’s software for both our admin team and our users.

Rosetta Studio has expanded the Smart Sort options making this tool much more powerful and flexible. The tool now supports more than just sorting. Actions such as deleting rows or columns based on keywords, deleting blank rows or columns and pinning rows or columns are now included. Due to the expansion of these options the name has been changed to Smart Tasks.

In addition to changing the name, Smart Tasks syntax has also been modified slightly to standardize object naming across all tasks and to accommodate growth for this tool in the future.

Color Maps have also been updated to allow color formatting to be applied to values that fall between a minimum and maximum value range. This option is helpful to avoid using conditional tags when formatting heatmaps in tables or highlighting more value ranges between set limits.

The Image Replacement Tool has a new method of placing images in tables. The Insert Image by Cell Location option overlays images based on table cell dimensions. This method of placing images is an innovative way to ensure that images are placed accurately and without any skewing, regardless of the original image size.
