WHY THE NAME "ROSETTA STUDIO™"?
The name Rosetta Studio™ was derived from the Rosetta Stone, an ancient artifact held at the British Museum in London since 1802.
Soldiers in Napoleon's army discovered the Rosetta Stone in 1799 while digging the foundations of an addition to a fort near the town of el-Rashid (Rosetta). On Napoleon's defeat, the stone became the property of the English under the terms of the Treaty of Alexandria (1801) along with other antiquities that the French had found.
The Rosetta Stone has a decree set in three languages; hieroglyphics, Greek and Demotic. This allowed researches to translate the hieroglyphics by using the Greek and Demotic sections.
It is this artifact that gave Rosetta Studio™ its name, as Rosetta Studio™ translates many different types of data into PowerPoint ™ or Excel ™ reports.
